Well, it'll be announced on the Sept 23rd. Release will be about a month later.

Exactly. The user experience is what makes the iPhone rock. The same has been the case with the iPod. To rip a phrase from many years ago, "It's the software, stupid." Google Android, at least the pre-launch screens, shows it a little lacking in elegance and simplicity. We'll see what the final release turns out to be.
