In his defense, Moore sort of addressed this on his blog, 16 Sept:
"P.P.S. If you live outside the U.S. and Canada, I'm sorry that I don't own the rights to make this film available to you for free. But it will be coming to a theater, video store or television network near you soon."
So it would seem he's not quite the web hypocrite Mashable would have us believe. But I would still like to know, "Why doesn't Moore own the rights ex-North America" and "Who does?"
So I guess the good news for Mirco, myself and the rest of us outside of the northwestern hemisphere is that we're not hurting Mike if we should come across his film by other means than those mentioned in official communiques...

Slacker Uprising is also available for free viewing on Lycos Cinema at http://cinema.lycos.com. No registration needed. Just jump in and watch. The film runs through Dec. 31 on Lycos Cineam, a social scene where viewers can chat about the film with other fans while watching.

Exactly. Nothing revolutionary about trying to scrape together any profit from a movie that's been unsuccessfully pitched to distributors for going on two years now.
Needs to be mentioned at some point too, that this uh "revolutionary movement" .... yeah it didn't work. So congrats Mike you didn't affect the election (with the possible exception of galvanizing the conservative base) and you've created a movie that no one will pay for. Keep up the good work.
