Wow! With that kinda traffic I think he should just keep the domain and start a web 2.0 blog or something.
*Registers www.yuTube.com, wuTube, vuTuve.com*
Your cease and desist is in the mail. ;)
Google are pretty quick when it comes to protecting their trademarks, and I'm sue YouTube will be no different. Maybe rename it bestofutube.com? Then again, perhaps you'll get a C&D from a certain tubing and equipment company?
This will turn into a legal if he starts serving adds in relation to youtube.
More important, if your an SEO, you know that making a million dollars in ads with the website utube is not going to be that easy with almost any website and especially in the long run.
So, if he was offered a million dollars he would have taken it, but he was not, most likely he made that offer up himself to boost the offer or keep it alive atleast in the press.
The worst part, google has not bought adsense.com, do you honestly think they will buy utube.com.
This guy has a great domain name and if he gets offered 100k from Google, he is better off taking it, then dealing with the legal fees to follow if goes off path.
I don't want to hear any stupid arguements from other people, unless recent legal outcomes change, what I stated above if the final ANSWER, lol, peace yo!
Google doesn't own adsense.com? If I type that into my browser it takes me to Google.
It takes you to a site that looks like Google, but the links are still to Adsense.com - it's not a redirect.
