Funny - I got this around midnight last night from my DAD! I figured it had been around for a few days and I'd just been clueless, so did some quick checking before tweeting about it this morning. Good thing I taught him last month how to cut and paste URL's into emails, I'm now dependant on him for my info! LOL.

I'm not a big Paris fan, but I did find humor in this vid, and already posted it on my "myspace" page for all to enjoy. If you liked the video, is that a vote for Paris?

I do like the fact that she's able to make fun of her own ridiculousness
  • SharonFeder · 1 year ago
Ha! I sent this to my mother, who replied, "I saw it last night!"

    Good job Funny or Die.

hmm I'm getting YouTube's "Sorry this video is no longer available" message when I try to play it.
  • Chris.Ott@referralkey.com/ · 1 year ago
    More kitchy than funny.

The video could have ended 5 times on a more punchy note, but she tried to include every finale.

The video has a poor rhythm and I could see what they were going for with the, "perceived to be unintelligent figure... makes an incredibly intelligent statement" joke; except she was still inarticulate and unintelligent sounding....they didn't really pull it off.

She makes it appear as though she is taking a poke at herself however her disposition is more of a commentary on the colloquialisms of adolescent females than capturing true self-adulation.

I don't doubt the video's popularity. Too bad this poorly constructed filth gets so much attention.

    Anal, party for one.
  • Chris.Ott@referralkey.com/ · 1 year ago
    close friend or family? =)
  • Chris.Ott@referralkey.com/ · 1 year ago
2 reasons why that innuendo sucked.

    1. If you were "Chris Ott's Waiter" you wouldn't be saying "table for one". For your sophomoric insult to be coherent you should have chosen the name maitre'd or 'Chris Ott' himself.

    2. One could justify remedial attempt by assuming you are either Paris's family or friend and you were insulted enough to say something but did not have the time to communicate effectively.

But I must say that you did take the time to create a profile in an attempt to execute a completely ineffective and unfunny innuendo.

I guess that does make you a bigger loser than Paris Hilton.

It's a shame you fail to see the joke. That's hot.
  • ChaCha Fance · 1 year ago
I don't get what's so funny about this & why it's such a "big deal"??
  • Hellen · 1 year ago
    Paris,
You go girl! This is sooo hot
  • Chris.Ott@referralkey.com/ · 1 year ago
Regardless of your political dispotion it is quite irreverent for her to refer to a presidential hopeful as "wrinkle guy with the white hair"

I am no stranger to edgy satire myself but there is a clear attempt at self promotion.

To harness the attention of a racially controversial subject like "paint the White House pink" for her own media blitz is sort of selfish.

Bottom Line: Its not really that funny. I could shoot the same video in 10 minutes with Tony Hawk referring to McCain as "Dude" and it would have the same effect.
  • DesertProse · 1 year ago
    @ Chris Ott:

    A) Presidential candidates are not gods. Why should we be reverent? He IS a wrinkly white-haired guy, even to the guy who ultimately plans to vote for him. Irreverent is a perfectly acceptable position to take toward other human beings, you know, fallible, imperfect, lowly, like the rest of us, presidential hopefuls or not. Respect is one thing, reverence quite another.

    B) I of all people understand the whole racial history of the white house, its color, its very white inhabitants, but, Paris saying she's going to paint it pink is, first of all, part of the satire (the whole selfishly oblivious thing is part of what people love and hate her for, after all), and second of all, has little to do with race and more to do with vapid party-girlishness, which is kinda, again, the point of it all.

    C) I can't stand Paris Hilton, it drives me up the wall to see people worship her how they do. She's not even pretty, IMO, and she's an idiot. But she did score some points with me on this video, because it shows that at least, at LEAST, she knows most of us think she's an idiot. And, it was funny. It wasn't cerebral humor, it was stupid, frat-boy-style humor (hello? Will Ferrel's website?), but yeah, it was funny.

"wrinkle guy with the white hair"

Please narrow down why you are concerned with this question. You think:

    a) Hilary Clinton got a boob job. But her breasts remained the same.

    b) What does that have to do with boobs?

    c) Perhaps that wrinkle guy with the white hair doesn't have much exposure. And we care because....

    d) Paris Hilton is running for President, and that is HOT!

You know, I don't get Paris' celebrity appeal, other than she has more than enough money to put herself in celebrity jobs, and I don't get why she is considered to be so sexy. She has an attractive and lovely face, but she is so skinny she has almost no body. She's not the sexiest celebrity out there, but I do respect her for this video, and her energy Idea actually does have a degree of good sense to it. I am impressed. Not in love or a fan, nor will I vote for her, but I am impressed.
  • kaly · 1 year ago
She’s is such hottie. BTW,I saw her photo and profile at the celebrity age gap dating club ★★★www.AgelessFriends.com★★★ " - where you can meet your like-minded local younger/older friends or partners. Don't know what kinda relationship she is looking for. Is she single now? Just curious.

    Kaly: Are you kidding me?

It's comments like yours that cause great sites like Mashable to limit html in their comments.

I don't even need to click on your link to know that it is not going to procure the alleged information you say it does. (Not that I care)

    Comment posting 101:

    Try something like this-

"I think Paris pulled it off. I also found this photo of her that you may find interesting." Then place a legitimate URL.

That way you are genuinely contributing and if others find your site appealing than so be it.

Who am I kidding, you won't be back.

I doubt it can de-thrown "The Landlord" this whole election shit is more of a fad. Pure comedy has to have more lasting power than the topic of the time period.

    Hey Paris,
In the political world you may not be taken serious. But, your add sounds bright, intelligent and articulate. If you would happen to quit the fun stuff and begin a serious effort at politics, you could probably get a lot of votes. You actually are a thought-provoking person.
Consider this as a possible future.

Paris for President? Well, at this point, I guess ANYONE would be better than "the Current Occupant."
  • Vampirella · 1 year ago
This is an hilarious spoof by Paris Hilton on McBush's ad. Who knew she could learn all those lines and say them so well! What a hoot. Hard to believe Will Ferrel had anything to do with it because he is so NOT funny.

Paris obviously has some marketing savvy; she can turn anything into a PR boost for herself... thx to McCain’s miscalculation, she’ll be selling more cans of wine than ever
  • Chris.Ott@referralkey.com/ · 1 year ago
    Media Boy:

Not sure if McCain miscalculated anything. Not to sound negative but I give credit where credit is due.

The truth is that she could have filmed herself dressed up as John McCain walking through Time Square and you would have been perpetuating her PR for her.

Except your comment would have read more like this:
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe Paris dressed up as John McCain!? You go girl... Paris Rocks!"

Anyone who's media savvy would not only have expected this but also probably have expected something a bit more entertaining.

But as my brother pointed out, she does a nice job of reading the tele-prompter.
