CPM is a dead model -- especially when targeting such a low CTR demographic as the Facebook user. They were charging $10 per 5,000 views???? Wow, what a waste of $. Anyone who bought that was a sucker!

I agree with BikerDan. I'm running some of the FaceBook Pro Flyers now. Buying a CPM via Facebook was not worth my time. But once I read about this I jumped to buy CPC from them.

This doesn't sweeten the deal. Look at those Facebook pages, as I have said before they are totally unmonetizable. I guess this could value Facebook at a few hundred grand based on revenues.

    greasyguide,

The CPC value of those pages is worthless. You couldn't possibly find more untargetted pages anywhere online. Even throwaway traffic like 7search will be much better targetted.

Flyers are great at what they were originally intended to do - get the news out about campus events. When my roommates and I throw parties at our house, spending $20 on 40,000 impressions is a great investment. I don't have solid numbers, but when we use flyers we see a 20% - 40% increase in people paying $5 at our door, which means increased profit of $300-$500.

In our case, flyers hit the targets perfectly.

By having a higher cost per click, your chances of having your ad shown are greater... how do i figure out how much to make my cpc so that my ad is shown a significant amount?
