Those are good RSS readers, but they are just readers. This selection of applications is focused on producing rather than reading.

You forgot that my Mobile Content Publishing system is ideal for blogging using mobile devices, like iPhone, Symbian and UIQ.

iPhone is the best phone ever to blog, even though I previously got some of the best phones on the market, they can't beat iPhone to blog!

Don't forget about Byline and NetNewsWire both are great RSS readers, NetNewsWire syncings with NewsGator online and Byline syncing with Google Reader. My personal preference is Byline but I know a lot of people are really fond of NetNewsWire as well.

NetNewsWire is free and Byline costs $9.99. But, Byline will save news items on the phone locally so you can do feed reading when you don't have cell service or if you're on an iPod Touch without Wifi around.

How could you write about Graffitio and miss GeoGraffiti. It allows you to "Voice Mark" a location with tips, warnings, opinions, advice so others can benefit from the audio message while on location. Our app is new to the AppStore and can also be used on ANY other mobile phone by a direct and free call to GeoGraffiti at (213) 221-3802. It sure beats typing and satisfies the on-the-go hands free laws. Plus using Voice is just more expressive.

Twitterific doesnt even compare to hahlo. All you can do is message friends. Hahlo you can do it all. The one thing twitterific has going is the integrated browser.

Hahlo can see everyone, see whos near, and see just you friends. You can follow and unfollow. You cant do this in twitterific.

There is so much talk of how twitter fails to monetize and heres another place they fail. Why in the hell didnt they develop their own app that was filled with amazing features and sell the thing. Boggles the mind!

I'm sure it will. The iPhone has kind of set the bar. RIM would be pretty foolish not to capitalize on the movement for a more powerful application marketplace.

I don't know about kill. Compete, sure, but there's really only so much you can do while keeping it simple. A lot has to do with how these apps perform early on. Twitterific seems off to a great start.

Great article. I personally prefer Twinkle because of the impression it's polished. Doesn't crash that often on my iPhone. At least, a lot less that Facebook.

Also, for your information, an updated version of TypePad for iPhone is on its way, submitted to the App Store yesterday. We'll continue working on it and adding new things, so stay tuned.
