its all about money honey! why would anyone want google to have all the ad business through videos?

Whoa this seems like an optimistic write up. I'm not saying it's impossible, but a mainstream media company taking to the Internet and beating the small kids (relatively). Let alone two media giants doing it together.

NBC is saying, "hey cyber guys and girls, we're cool too!"I think a good comparison would be your dad hooking up with the hottest girl in the freshman dorm.

Can't wait to see the edgy logo they come up with.

Edgy logo? They can't even think up a name!

Can someone remind me why this venture is constantly dubbed a YouTube killer? Aren't they using this new venture to show content they own (and is currently being pirated on YouTube)? How exactly will that kill YouTube?

If it's not restricted to only the US, it would be nice.

Sure there is a lot of media sharing sites out there but they lack certain points that youtube has.

Friends, subscriptions, superior channel development. In brief youtube combines video sharing with social networking. To be a youtube killer you have to do that and to it much better. A quick look at youtubes traffic will show that they are continuing to grow not die.

NBC sux. I HATE their multiple commercials on a twenty min. video. In fact; I wouldn't trust ANY company that adverts there!
