How else would potential advertiser know; a) that you offer ad space b) what is the cost to advertise?

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

I don't really believe the rate card, but I think advertisers would probably pay more.

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

Forgive me for asking, but wouldn't it be really easy to fake something like this, to be able to feed a story?? I'm just saying...

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

Rates are always negotiable. For longer term marketing strategies with facebook you might be able to get a substantial discount.

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

This was a valleywag story, so why the link to some obscure, niche blog (which links to vwag)?

Anyway, this "rate card" is a sham. No advertiser has paid anything close to these numbers. In fact, this might have been intentional leaking in order to address all the comments questioning the economic viability of facebook that appear on practically every blog post i can find. Now this one too ;)

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

Incredible.

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

....and Kristen. =)

Re: Facebook’s Advertising Rate Cards Unveiled!

Thanks for the info!
