    Based on their traffic and the viral effect of it, those rates don't seem to out of line. However, it would be interesting if you could get some direct feedback on a campaign that was done on facebook compared to that of a regular campaign. Great post - thanks for the information.

    This was a valleywag story, so why the link to some obscure, niche blog (which links to vwag)?

    Anyway, this "rate card" is a sham. No advertiser has paid anything close to these numbers. In fact, this might have been intentional leaking in order to address all the comments questioning the economic viability of facebook that appear on practically every blog post i can find. Now this one too ;)

    I don't really believe the rate card, but I think advertisers would probably pay more.

    Rates are always negotiable. For longer term marketing strategies with facebook you might be able to get a substantial discount.

    I think that everyone that has any kind of advertising on their blog, website, magazine etc. should have their own rate card. How else would potential advertiser know; a) that you offer ad space b) what is the cost to advertise?
