Isn't going to now. The only way this works is if they reduce prices and make it so cheap that it isn't worthwhile to go to the trouble of bootlegging it. Or better yet, give it away for free. :)

Re: Should Apple Help Catch Pirates?

Well, I think, no matter how much they're lagging behind netflix (which I have never used) this is just again some stupid execs talking shit and trying to screw customers. I mean, take for example the fact that one season was priced roughly the same as the same season on DVD ... so where does the same price for less production cost "not reflec the full value of the product"? Also, at least for video, I'm not aware of any program that would allow for drm-removal of itunes bought videos, so where's his problem? Seems to me he just wants to restrict it more (e.g. not on ipods, on only one pcs etc.), not "prevent piracy".
Also, I personally bought some seasons of NBC shows while they were on itunes ... after they took it down, without a reasonable replacement I didn't of course, so some money lost nbc.

Re: Should Apple Help Catch Pirates?

Look what happened to Tivo when they gave into these clowns.

Apple should stand their ground.
