Wow, the movie was absolutely amazing - I'd argue it was better than the first movie. The question becomes... what batman logo do you prefer... the 1989 Batman 1 logo or the 2008 Dark Knight logo?
I like this new stylized logo, but they have explained in the comics many times why he has the yellow oval behind the symbol. That's where he put the most armor, so he WANTS the bad guys to aim there as opposed to his head or some other lightly armored area.
