You need a follower "fan base." Give it a try (when we bring it back up)

Re: Tweetcret: Ideally Amusing, But Inherently Flawed

yeah not that big a deal. Isn't twitter the same thing? You can just create an anon account and post

Re: Tweetcret: Ideally Amusing, But Inherently Flawed

Dave, that is EXACTLY the direction I am taking with the rating and spam system.

Re: Tweetcret: Ideally Amusing, But Inherently Flawed

Thanks for the coverage Paul! I'm the "not-so-silent partner" that jumped the gun and told everyone I knew about Tweetcret to help out on the Alpha version .00001 ;)

We're working hard to get the rating and spam system in place so everyone can enjoy Tweetcret! Make sure to stop back in a couple weeks and check out our progress.

Re: Tweetcret: Ideally Amusing, But Inherently Flawed

it's a spammer's haven....postsecret should just do their own with moderation and that will be the end of it...OR (to the dev) allow users to flag spam...

Re: Tweetcret: Ideally Amusing, But Inherently Flawed

WOW! Who'd thought that two nights of programming Tweetcret this last week would end up here! Thanks for pointing out some vital flaws which have been rolling around in my mind from the get go.

My short term plan is to make the posts community policed with rating and spam systems in place. Maybe even a queuing system that will put the brakes on big bursts of tweets and figure out the spam and abuse problems before it hits twitter.

So much to do, I hope everyone will be patient and start following Tweetcret!
