Just , search, Call and connect both parties !!
Wheres the revenue model in this paradigm, somebody needs to make $$$ ??
You're kidding, right? This is clearly the long tail, since it opens up the market for internet advertising to those businesses that don't have websites. And the revenue model is glaringly obvious: Google is charging advertisers in the same way they do for Adwords ads. Maybe I'm misinterpreting you here?
I am trying to imagine a googlebase with the same type of click2call methods imbedded within GoogleBase. I.e - we can create an Ad which is dumped into Googlebase, which gets crawled/indexed etc etc
User(s) who browses the ad can contact me thru the C2C methods.
Maybe I am jumping thoughts here, why are we looking at business only ?? Is not the long tail comprised of people ?? AM I off on my thinking then I'll stand corrected !! :)-
Your suggestion about embedding Click to Call inside Google Base sounds logical, and it's certainly something Google will be considering. There's nothing remarkable about that.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about businesses vs people. Businesses are made of people, people are customers too - it's all just people.
Dont forget about tying it in to google talk WHEN (not if) it can handle calls to the PSTN through the SIP interface... they'll probably give advertisers a special toll free number on google talk too (like adsense-8723498723)
Yep - Click-to-call will no doubt become part of the Google ads that Adsense publishers display (ie pagesyndication). Integration with Google Talk? You betcha!
I'm wondering how long it will be before they bring in a pay per minute system for Google Talk calls - just like the traditional premium rate phone numbers. A consultant, for instance, could charge businesses to call him and charge a per-minute fee. I know Skype is onto this - I'm guessing GTalk isn't far behind.
