Well done.

Re: Why Facebook’s Modus Operandi Matters

Why do companies like facebook think we are all a bunch of animals that they can heard up and just throw whatever stupid ad idea into our face. Do we have that much of a sheep mentality, facebook sure thinks so! How can a bunch of Stanford PHDs think of such a stupid idea as Beacon...yeah I want my shopping habits displayed for all to see...JEEEEZ!!!

Honestly when facebook was for students it had a niche, now it is just an over hyped, and YES OVER BLOGGED, Vampire bite, Zombie Buzz silly service! I deactivated my facebook account, because well facebook does not let me delete my account (I find this ridiculous by the way).

PR made facebook big, not the actual service, it was, and still is, a media driven farce...how long will users be engaged in seeing whether someone bought them a virtual drink or wrote on their fun wall, super wall, color wall, ninja wall...GOD WAKE UP PEOPLE!

Re: Why Facebook’s Modus Operandi Matters

tl;dr

Re: Why Facebook’s Modus Operandi Matters

Less 2,000 word disjointed opinion-based screeds, plz, thx.

Also, facebook popularity has nothing to do its technical capabilities. It was in the right place and maintained the right aesthetic. People are going to hop off social networks like they watch new teevee shows. this shit is ingrained. If facebook made you download a special application to view it and started charging people, it would still do pretty good.
