Also, facebook popularity has nothing to do its technical capabilities. It was in the right place and maintained the right aesthetic. People are going to hop off social networks like they watch new teevee shows. this shit is ingrained. If facebook made you download a special application to view it and started charging people, it would still do pretty good.
Honestly when facebook was for students it had a niche, now it is just an over hyped, and YES OVER BLOGGED, Vampire bite, Zombie Buzz silly service! I deactivated my facebook account, because well facebook does not let me delete my account (I find this ridiculous by the way).
PR made facebook big, not the actual service, it was, and still is, a media driven farce...how long will users be engaged in seeing whether someone bought them a virtual drink or wrote on their fun wall, super wall, color wall, ninja wall...GOD WAKE UP PEOPLE!
