There was nothing for sale and nothing entertaining in any way. Second life is a game not some sort of way for corporations to advertise themselves. Most people in second life dont appreciate this sort of thing and wont even visit. It seems really pointless and contributes nothing to the game at all. Its nothing but self serving. Whats the point of walking around some slick looking virtual Armani store with nothing to buy?? Was also very heavy on lag which leads me to believe they are using a lot of rez boxes to save on prims etc..

Re: Armani in Second Life

Too bad Mr. Armani wasn't there. He could have heard first-hand how disappointing his store in SL is. As I've said in other forums, Armani paid more attention to the bathrooms in the store than to the merchandise. The merchandise, what little I could find, was boring and simply couldn't compare to the work of many SL designers, both new and established. Frankly, the Armani store in SL is a bit of a joke. I hope Armani learns from this and changes the store and the merchandise.

Re: Armani in Second Life

Hmmmm - this article must have been written straight from the article on Style.com because nobody ever showed up from Armani yesterday at the reported opening. Not even Mr. Armani. The store was virtually deserted - maybe 2 or 3 people at most. The rest of us waited for something to happen but nothing ever did.

Re: Armani in Second Life

I wonder how the Armani price points compare to normal non-branded clothing in Second Life?
