Oh, "Pirate Bay" is most definitely a jab at copyright laws the world over. But you kind of have to hand it to them. They've lived a good deal longer amid a lot of outside pressure (and lots of user support) than many had expected.
Not to mention that a majority of these suits are based in the US or places that don't start and end with the name "Sweden", and so they mean nothing. WebSherriff, and others like it, are basically a con-job that will most likely end in TPB guys not being able to set foot in the US.
And they've already mentioned that's totally fine with them.
So, the next time you want to report on something like this, report the whole story: yes, they're getting sued... yes, TPB is on legal standing for their country... yes, these suits mean basically nothing.
Not to mention that the copyright laws in place are not necessarily valid as they're being used anyways.
