Not working on a Treo or on my desktop. m.twitter.com does give me a prompt to download a strange file though... Hmmmm... will check back later.

that's cool... for another option check out tinytwitter.com. it's a j2me app that in theory should run on any java enabled device. it has a pretty nice feature set and will give you a bit richer user experience.

check it out and let me know what you think, how it goes, and if you have any questions, comments, or requests. it's early in dev and i want to get it humming on as many flavors of handsets as possible to put the "write once, run anywhere" notion to task :)

my twitter name is kcbigring - you can always reach me there.

Guys, I would like to share this mobile application for TWITTER with you. You can watch the video at -> http://mobiko.blogs.com/mutant/2007/09/twitter-...

The UI is rich, interactive, engaging and easy to use. It even has a "mini" version of TWITTERVISION showing you all the different tweats posted real-time.

We also made a twitter mobile client, Twittai, for Java phones.
    Welcome to http://twittai.com to download.

Currently twittai supports most of the twitter functions like Reading Tweets (no 20 tweets limit), Update, Reply, View Archive, View Replies, View Direct Messages, View Friends' Updates and Profiles, Adding Favorites, Delete Tweets, and etc.
Twittai is now compatible with more than 200 mainstream phones and Windows mobile phones.

Most twittai downloads are now from Taiwan and China. :)

An app for java based phones definitely worth looking at is “Twitter Mobile” http://www.twittermobile.co.uk , offers many of the twitter features along with some extras. Allows viewing of public and personal timelines including friends and followers. Has a “Map View feature which allows you to track your friends anywhere around the world as they post comments on Twitter. Includes Direct message and @Replies. This is probably the best looking Java app and rather straight forward to use.

ill stick with Tweetie on the iphone. apps are so much more convenient on there than the browser. now if i could get firefox or (pushing it, here...) chrome on the iphone... m.twitter.com may actually get a few visits!
