Supposedly.

There's meant to be blocks on things like Euthanasia and whatnot. Though they are not done at ISP level - they're just not supposed to be hosted in Australia.

I know it's a completely different topic for consideration - but generally speaking I think that censorship is bad.

In Australia we also do NOT have a bill of rights.
Freedom of speech is a freedom at most implied by the mere TWO given to us by our constitution. We have right to a fair trial and right to freedom of religion.

They call all the rest "implied" rights ;-)
The government seems a little bit too afraid to give everyone anymore...

But seriously? I'd like to see someone enforce this. Our government already tried a suite of protection for parents and some 16yo kid broke it in 30 minutes of its release.

I'll have google dish up my sites they don't like translated from spanish to english and they can have fun trying to work out what i'm really looking at. All of it gets dished up through google and I don't think they'll be banning that particular website just yet ;)

Re: 2007/12/31/australia-internet-censorship-poll/

Wow! I see a polarization of a subject. People either strongly disagree or strongly agree.
