Not sold on this. Beautiful site and no doubt a quality app, but where's the demand? Where's the differentiation?

Well, I do think there's one thing that IM clients don't do well (that's why Twitter is so successful) - they don't bridge the gap between 1:1 communication and chat. Or, they do, but they do it clumsily. If Pownce manages to break some new ground there, it might have a chance of success.

I totally agree. I got wind of it via Twitter about an hour ago and went to investigate. I'm afraid there was nothing there that made me go "Ooooooooo".

As usual though, I'll await this comment coming back and biting me on the ass - it'll probably be the hottest thing since.......well the last really hot thing.
