I totally agree. I got wind of it via Twitter about an hour ago and went to investigate. I'm afraid there was nothing there that made me go "Ooooooooo".
As usual though, I'll await this comment coming back and biting me on the ass - it'll probably be the hottest thing since.......well the last really hot thing.

Well, I do think there's one thing that IM clients don't do well (that's why Twitter is so successful) - they don't bridge the gap between 1:1 communication and chat. Or, they do, but they do it clumsily. If Pownce manages to break some new ground there, it might have a chance of success.

Is it just me, or does this seem like another Truemors story? Big, bad entrepreneur releases a mediocre product. Let's face it: if any of us (with the exception of Pete, of course :) released this thing, it wouldn't see the light of day...
