How does the bidding and "getting the hosts attention" thing work?
Is this moderated by a live hosts who judges things somehow? Is the point of this site to allow people to meet new people for dating?
Could someone provide a bit more information on this?
Now, I'm married so I'm looking at it with a jaundiced eye, but I also met my husband through the personals. I do understand what it's like to try to grab someone's attention very quickly and keep it there, and I recognize that some of it is driven by that. Even if this were an older and slower-paced site, it would still require some attention-grabbing. Otherwise, you sink to the bottom of the pile really quickly.
Hence, here's how, it seems to me, you get along best at I'm in like with you (and yeah, I agree, what a difficult name to get over; I kept mentally putting in a comma after the word like)
-- good photo, check.
-- snappy tag line, check.
-- cute video, check.
I am guessing that you can kind of do an end run around the system if you put up your account or at least update it at a busy time. I could not tell if that puts people at the top of the pile, but it might or it might in the future. A very large site, such as it's I'm sure striving to be, is going to have to toss in an element of effort along with the chance of getting your profile up when people are actually watching (instead of at 5:50 AM, such as when I'm writing this comment). Otherwise, you end up with server traffic issues during the busiest times of day and potentially a real can of worms if users start to create a lot of multiple accounts.
It is, though, very shiny. :)

However, this looks interesting. For what ever reason, it's caught my attention. If anyone has an invite, can you send it to lucasj218@gmail.com?
Thanks.

The only drawback worth mentioning is that there are still too few users. I did a search of Houston (4th largest city in the US) only found 2 users in a 50 mile radius. Hopefully, it will continue getting users and reach critical mass.
I assume that there's so few users because it's still so difficult to find an invitation.
If you still can't find an invite, I have one to give away at http://www.michaellundberg.com/2007/09/16/free-...
