It may be a known issue, but Twitter's app hasn't been in Facebook's directory since that story broke. I complained about that twice. You may be on to something after all.

@James -- just FYI, Facebook Connect does allow status updates through the user.setStatus API method. Facebook Connect sites are welcome to use this (as are platform applications).

You are correct, I didn't explain well enough (was typing on my iphone). To automatically have twitter update your facebook status, it has to use "offline access" (facebook api term), which must be explicitly granted via the facebook app.
As far as I can tell from the link below this is not possible yet using facebook connect.
Quote: "At this time, the policy on automatically publishing one line stories has not been finalized."
Which means that until it is "finalized" automatic updating will need to be done via an application rather than connect (I am interested in this coming to connect as well for my own app).
If I am wrong, let me know... that would be awesome news.

Status updates refer to the user status feature (e.g, the "Mike is feeling sick." text at the top of a user's profile page). One-line feed stories refer to stories generated by applications and published into the feed (e.g., "Mike just started playing a game of Scramble.").
Status updates can be made via Connect apps at this time. To update a user's status, you need the status_update extended permission (http://wiki.developers.facebook.com/index.php/E...). Once you have this, you can update the user's status whenever the user is using your app.
If you *also* want to be able to update the status when the user isn't at their computer (e.g., if you're Twitter and you want to be able to update the status if the user sends it via SMS), then you also need the offline_access permission you mentioned, in addition to the status_update permission.
If you have a Connect application that wants to update the user's status while he/she is offline, that's completely fine from a policy perspective.

Awesome news (well news to me). Obviously you know more about the api than I do from 1 week of struggling with it. My only question then becomes, how do you grant offline_access through connect? Is it as simple as the "requestpermission" fbml link thing?
Seems like the process would be login via connect and immediately present a link for updating the status offline (because, the redirect to auth.php does not work for offline_status). Is that how it would be done?
This is totally the wrong forum for this, but frankly I couldn't find much out there via google b/c connect is so new.

There are two ways. You can either call FB.Connect.showPermissionDialog('status_update') or you can include Enable Offline Access in your HTML.

Yup, tweets on Friday seemed to have trouble and delays being posted to facebook then by saturday nothing. Though people using other apps such as friendfeed seem to be doing ok.

I’m using the Thesis theme with Wordpress, and have installed the “Subscribe to Comments†plug-in, but I do not get any prompt/checkbox to “Notify me of follow-up comments via e-mailâ€.
.dizi izle I have tried it with the option both checked and and checked to do a CSS “clear†on the subscription checkbox/message (uncheck this if the checkbox/message appears in a strange location in your theme)
