One of my sites got once to Digg's front page, and that day it got 15x the average traffic. The Alexa stats for that day? Zero, zip, nada.

That's just a tiny example, I've got a ton more but I think we all know the beast.

As for killing the messenger, not a very wise move. If only they put that amount of effort in making their stats more reliable...

Statsaholic should no longer rely on Alexa, didn't they use another service when Alexa blocked them temporarily? Also, Statsaholic created the 5 site comparison, how can Alexa claim it as its own?

Well I never put any of their graphs anywhere on any of my sites, and now I certainly won't either. I just link to my traffic stats.

With this new "improvement" you can bet I won't put them anywhere. Ever.
