Seems very cumbersome for a site like Google. Becoming a human editor is definitely a thing of the past, I'm surprised such a forward thinking company would even attempt something like this.

When most big newspapers can't hire significant numbers of experienced people to moderate *their* comments, can we really expect Google, the leader in automated everything, to hire *people* to moderate/edit? highly unlikely.
