    Twitter is the most obvious version of Chat 2.0. If Dvorak is arguing that these are all new forms of communication, in general, from photos to music sharing, then sure... But that's akin to saying the airplane is the new horse or that once we're able to "transport" a la Star Trek from one place to another, that it's just a new way of looking at walking. Cranky cranky cranky.

    Nicely put: web 2.0 is old wine in new bottles (wine 2.0?) and that's a good thing.
    The same thing happens on a smaller scale (fractally?) within web 2.0. The "social blogging" stuff has been in LiveJournal since last millennium, but is hot right now:

    As long as there are flabby dorks who work off the stress of their daytime IT/office store jobs by being fork-tongued-know-it-alls amidst hapless n00bs, there will be chat.

    And office chairs you have to cover with a towel before you sit down.
