When I use Shareaza now, shortly after starting the program, my internet service shuts off completely. Not just Shareaza, I'm disconected and have to reset the cable modem.

Re: Comcast Sued for Not Being Net Neutral

Hope Bell Sympatico gets sued too!

Many people are turning away from Bell because of many problems, particularly with billing. It started with their phone plans, and now their internet.

I'm currently subscribing to their DSL connection and am supposed to get a 7mb connection. However, I recently got my line tested and noticed it was only around 700-1mb. Told customer/tech support and they said it will never go over than that. What a ripoff! Even 2-3mb was fine, b/c I understand "up to", but

Re: Comcast Sued for Not Being Net Neutral

I would love to see a report on how much bandwidth p2p apps consume, and market data on how many consumers might choose cable over DSL, satellite in order to use the p2p apps. Having heard for the last few years that "bandwidth is cheap", I'm wondering if there is a legitimately over-burden on their networks due to BitTorrent, etc. Guess I need to Google it.

There is public interest here, though, since public land, etc., hold the cable lines. They have an obligation in my mind to disclose, at least in court, what the bandwidth and associated costs really are, and what practices they use to restrict traffic. The public has a right to know how its land is being used.

Re: Comcast Sued for Not Being Net Neutral

Awesome. Who do I send the bill to when Comcast raises their prices?
