Agreed, you knew very well that they weren't cybersquatting, and as that is actually now illegal under certain jurisdictions, it gives even more reason to not throw the term around.

I think you knew exactly what you were doing when you wrote it, and I notice you haven't changed the headline either.

Yup - certainly the wrong headline. Interestingly, Google didn't register opensocial.mobi until the evening before the launch.

Google doesn't need the domain name... there are enough inbound links to their site URL to make sure it's always going to be number one.

Doubtful if this ever ends up in court. Doesn't seem like there are any legal issues related to VastPark and Google's OpenSocial, unless Joy wants to take Google to court for using the name.

Sorry if the title seems sensationalized. Only wanted to point out that Joy isn't cybersquatting, but could use this situation to help spread the word about his own company.
