The only thing I do not really like is the tag page that far up though I like it is not the usual 20 tags and be done with it - i'd like the advertisers to be further up. I like looking at them to see if there is something valuable in it.
(missing btw - a link to the ff remote key in the dialog box, that is standard.)

Maybe the availability of the redesign could have been managed differently,
ie. 10% of users get the new design for a week, then across that week, do some analytics and userpath tracking work to see what is and isn't being used, what works and doesn't work, and then compare that to the same or similar data from the old design.
I wrote Adam Hirsh an email this morning that outlines (in very casual language) the initial thoughts I had with the landing page of the new design. With his blessing, the initial content from that email, with expanded wording and explanation may become a blog post at naterkane.com/blog later today.
The new design / IA neither sucks, nor rocks. It isn't clear what the purpose of the redesign was (from my perspective as a user), and the benefits of the redesign to the user do also escape me to a degree.
Instead of "Sucks" and "Rocks" being voted on by random folks who have happened themselves to this post, how about this... If voting does need to happen. have a poll for each feature / element that is in question and of concern and have users vote "Effective" and "Not Effective" or "Useful" and "Not Useful".
There can't be any value or useful knowledge gained by saying that something "Rocks".... and that "Sucks" ;-)
Thanks again!
Your footer is quite clean, but I believe uniform buttons would bring it together better.
Your old pink/blue theme was great branding. You essentially became known for those colors. Now you seem to be shifting towards a more blue color scheme, which is boring and blends in with the crowd. Of course, if done right, it can be professional, but for a blog, unique is good. Also, you kept a tiny bit of pink here and there, but it seems awkward since it's not fully incorporated into the color scheme.
This new design has potential, but honestly, I feel you're losing a lot of the essence of Mashable. Some major refining could bring out a winner, but right now, I'm not so sure.
Good luck!
Best regards,
- Harry Maugans
Congrats to the Mashable crew!

Where's the login? Where's the link love?
Meh.
Great improvement though!
header: whats up with so much whitespace to the right of the logo?? you can have those 4 icons below the logo to the right of the logo instead, in keeping with left-to-right scan. and put in those 9 icons[submit news, advertise, etc] to the far right on the top. those nine icons look so similar, its hard to make them out, or even be noticed, kind of merging with the bkground. i mean i don't think its ethical anymore to waste screen estate on websites.
search:for a blog as respectable as mashable, i guess it looks a little amateurish to find a custom google search written in a very visible search box.
single post: bookmarking options are alright, but i think i see too many horizontal borders below each post, separating tags, bmarking options, and so on. looks very segregating, so much so that until i reach related posts, after crossing 3-4 borders, it doesn't feel related anymore.
and yeah, now i have to do a PgDn on each post to find popular posts. it wasn't so in the earlier design.
and oh wait, is that a 'back to top' at the end of the page?? why is it invisible-grey??
i loved the old design, very much. but i guess i will get used to this one as well.
All the screenshots of the site in this post is pretty crazy-making ;)
The sharing options are TOO MANY. Forget all the "Add to my" and "Blog this on" icons. No textbox for "link to this article" -- that's what the address bar is for in the browser. If you want to clean things up, use the Add to Any Share/Save button that you've promoted before since it shows the sites each person actually uses: http://www.addtoany.com/ .
Also, you're sort of abusing the feed icon guidelines by adding that little "plus" sign to the feed icon. With the plug, users expect a menu of feed readers to add to, but it's just a direct link to the feed. So standard icon only. BTW, Subscribe to Mashable is a mess. Again, Add to Any cleans that up if you look at their Subscribe widget.
ROCKS:
Speed improvements, Speed improvements, Speed improvements. It's overall cleaner, and a pleasure to look at.
OMG CONCLUSION:
Just clean up the mess and quit doing the unnecessary things. Otherwise, love it. :)
But, the Job Listing is a bit too low to the bottom. Hard to find.

Pretty annoying.
Design principle: try not to mess with the left flush of a sentence or headline, since it's where the eye starts reading. The right side of the line is often ragged or has hyphenated words; we're used to seeing obstacles there and they won't hold up the reader.
Otherwise, a strong redesign.
I was like, Where is the Comment reply box!!
heh it rocks!!
seriously everything just blurs together. i'm not a fan and thought it was better before. all the colors are too washed out and all blue to have an all white background. I am a fan of post then one larger sidebar than 3 column, thats a plus. The seperaton from post to post on front page is not well defined. Also the part right after the post that contains share options an related posts is just ridiculously large. I design alot of blogs and people always put an ad right before the comments but put the comment box all the way at the bottom = total fail. you will get more clicks if the comment box is right below that ad and then all the comments below that comment box. why cuz people read the post and then just scroll all the way down to add comment not even seeing that ad.
I'm still getting high load times via iphone wifi always have if this is wordpress then no excuse not to get free iphone theme and install it. http://www.bravenewcode.com/wptouch/
Login is very hidden... :(
disqus plz???
So it's a cool try but I always believe in keep it simple stupid.
.
Where will you host more Ads? Will you rid the 125x125 and add other options. I would like to do RSS advertising with you. Contact me about this.
Have a good night!
PS> I like this new sharing feature.
Maybe also dropping all sort of icon links to 'social' services and rss readers would tidy it up a bit? Hey! It's a wacky idea, but I'd like to see the empirical data proving the benefits first.
Is it possible to implement this feature here?
Hey, where's the login for the Mashable Social platform?
The new direction is good, but the Mashable "brand" feels lost here.
In general, the posts are very cluttered. Some grid-layout planning could help greatly.
As an example, split the post image area into multiples of 70 px. In that way, you can accommodate multiple company logo widths, plus large feature images. I threw together a quick mock to better explain:
