I wrote about JS-Kit on several occasions and found it to be the most clean and innovative set of widgets of the type.

Since working more closely with Khris and his team, I have discovered even more innovation and rather fantastic collaborative aspects to this company.

The score widget is but one of a whole range of simple yet productive tools that can be deployed and actually help people. You know that I have been on the collaboration scheme for some time, and it is great to find the best writers, the best blogs and the best companies finally trying to realize the dream of Web 2.0. I know your readers who have blogs will love some of these upcomming tools and the Score widget too.

Cheers to Pete and you Kirsten for continuing to bring the very best to people. Always - Phil

Re: JS-Kit Scores: Turn Your Site into a Digg Clone

This is cool, thanks!

Re: JS-Kit Scores: Turn Your Site into a Digg Clone

This seems like a great idea. They are meeting the need for a solution that comes in somewhere in between a full digg like site, and a blog. I am still working with pligg, which is a little rough around the edges. In other words, keeping up with the platform takes some of the focus away from the content. Always better to maximize focus on content.

Re: JS-Kit Scores: Turn Your Site into a Digg Clone

Hi Kook,

1) We have 23,000 sites using JS-Kit and the services are. If your site is slow send your URL to support@js-kit.com and we will help you speed things up.

2) The client code is open source so you can host it if you want. Most don't because you miss out on our constant improvements.

3)Sites that use the code now will not get advertising or pay. In future sites can *opt-in* to a 50/50 advertising sharing program.

4)Large commercial customers like JetBlue, Experian, HBO, have the ads removed and pay for the services as an ASP.

Khris khris at js-kit.com

K
