I feel like I need to form The Yet Another Social Bookmarks Service Welcome Committee. I'd have my hands full. Amazing that people have the "courage" to create yet another social bookmarking site in the second half of 2006.... but then again, Google was in the same boat in their beginning. Back to Simpy (which seems to have everything that BlueDot has and more, except for a ton of MySpace-like pictures all over the UI).

I couldn't find a way to sort the links by popularity. Also, how do I know how many people dotted something? It doesn't seem to include any of the features that I enjoy from del.icio.us.

riddle me this, batman. why do you need to know who the person behind the bookmark is? delicious works because it strips out all the fat and serves links. same goes with digg....which includes comments to the links. a natural and great extension of additional info.

now why would i want to know that bobby browbeater who lives in seattle and likes horses has recommended a link to a cool etch-a-sketch site? Am I going to converse with bobby afterwards and be best of friends?

c'mon people. commit to a concept and do try to be all to all.

Hehe. I suggested they added affiliate links whenever a user bookmarks products on Amazon, then I realized they already do. Updated accordingly.

I just don't understand why sites that really don't offer anything "new" are getting millions of dollars in VC. I'm just waiting for all these VC's to realize they shouldn't have been so trigger happy and investing in something original.
