It's unfortunate for a small biz "mini-preneur" to give up the shop. It's at times like these that you realize that a business is a living and breathing thing that needs constant attention (especially a subscription service) and is not easy to have going on the side.
I like the idea on his blog for making the project open source if possible...but what about putting the biz up for sale on EBAY? I'm sure it has been done before.

I read about this first of Alex Kings blog. He was not that surprised but still sad to see it go I guess.
If I remember correctly he was one of the principle developers for it.
