The highlights: Yammer, Skype, WebEx (or GoToMeeting), FreeConference, SalesForce, ConceptShare and Outlook. Then, later, Quickbooks, PayPal and Qgia.

Also, after implemening the initial apps (hopefully less than Facebook's 24,000 or even iPhone's 500), they could push services out a la Facebook. Would serve to make them the book-of-record for personal profiles.

Re: Which 5 LinkedIn Apps Would You Like to See?

I would like to see applications become available for groups also, and to be able to present the weblog news to the linkedin group members.

Re: Which 5 LinkedIn Apps Would You Like to See?

I just discovered that you can also play Flash video files (.flv) through Box.net. So convert your files to .flv, then drop them in your Box, and when people click on them, they'll play in the window. Richard Branson's profile has a good example (click through to the full profile) : www.linkedin.com/in/sirrich...

Re: Which 5 LinkedIn Apps Would You Like to See?

Oh, cool. I just wanted to mention that Box.net has full integration with Zoho and ThinkFree, allowing users to open and edit Office files like Word, Excel and PowerPoint within the browser.

Re: Which 5 LinkedIn Apps Would You Like to See?

Hey Pete - have you checked out the Huddle Workspaces app? Based on Jeremiah Owyang's post, it looks like LinkedIn will slowly focus less on front end networking and move towards enterprise networking. It has been evident based on the lack of attention users have been getting on LinkedIn's basic networking features, especially with all the errors and issues that have lasted for more than 2 months now. It is a perfect opportunity for another networking site to fill that gap.

http://www.web-strategist.c...

Re: Which 5 LinkedIn Apps Would You Like to See?

Oh, smart!

Re: Which 5 LinkedIn Apps Would You Like to See?

A quick way to add video to your profile is via Google Presentation - embed a YouTube video in your presentation, then put that presentation on your profile.
