Millersville Univ. says...
Millersville Univ. says...
"The University is committed to maintaining the academic integrity of its academic programs and degrees and will vigorously defend itself and the actions of its employees in legal proceedings related to the lawsuit."
No where in it's statement has the University indicated that it reigns supreme as the moral authority for it's students.
It's time for Millersville to hand over the proper certificates, issue a public apology to Ms. Snyder and create three $25,000.00 annual scholarships to be awarded via student body majority vote each and every year for 100 years.
Are you sure it really is like that in other nations? And are you sure that you have the best freedoms regarding the same thing?
And sorry for the insult, it was partly a joke, partly an insult and partly a shocked reaction. I mean, this can really happen in America? I thought you declared yourself to be free nation. And you proudly think you are the most free nation in the world. Sure, the girl can sue her school (is "sue" the most used American word nowadays?) but going to court to protect the very basic and absurd rights of mine is pretty much hurting my freedoms too.
All right, maybe it is not that much anti freedom at all. Maybe it is just plain stupid. That is why I did not declare America as anti-free but just stupid :-P
Don't take it all too seriously :-))
And pardon my sorry English.
As soon as we Americans can figure out how to take care of ourselves and stop electing rich selfish morons to govern us...we will be much better off.
Common sense should rule the day. Not "My way or the highway".
as far as the post above...common sense says that it's just a photo, If she earned the degree and certificate...give it to her. If, later on she proves herself unworthy...take them away.
