between spotrunner and this, the marketing landscape has changed dramatically in recent years. soo many barriers to entry have been taken down its amazing.

Google is becoming king of ad agencies, watch out Ogilvy, they have already crowned themselves the governing body of the internet

When I try to ad TV ads I get

"You attempted to reach a non-existent page. Please check the URL and try again."

is this country or area specific? I'm sure there are some good ways to use this.

That practically kills the sales department for television stations.

I'm trying to figure this out... Are they buying BTA from the cable co's?

One would think Google would have to negotiate with all of the sales departments at each network, local affil, or cable company in order to sell "their" time...

I can't see the big cable corporations like Time Warner and Comcast not trying to get into the spotrunner-type game vs letting Google dominate. Same with the networks... It's not a revolutionary idea. We considered doing this for our college TV station four years ago.

Before everyone goes nuts over this, IIRC this network deals primarily with remnant inventory, not prime placement. Nobody is getting their ad shown during big-network prime-time TV through Google, you can be sure about that :-)

My.. really dominating the AdWorld... Well, if they got the idea why not? But I guess Nicole's right...Google will kill the sales department but then, its likely there will be new kind of jobs that will be created with such a change.
