At the very least, you'd have to limit it so only your friends could see it.

Re: Tagworld Widgets Feed the MySpace Beast

Hey Pete!

i was thinking an AdWidget for MySpace aka the Short Fat Juicy part of the Tail but also the Edgio MyNuMo Long part of the Tail & EVERYTHING in between! Honestly i hadn't given much thought to the TOS - i was going on the assumption that all these other outside Widgets & Snippets were being added in so it might be possible even if some god forbid Legal arrangement was required! ;))

I'm going to take a looksee at BunchBall & see what this Universal Blog Widget is all about - U brought in the other key component Google AdSense API. I just think some really nifty types of Audience geared Advertising can be done & giving Everybody the Opportunity to Earn a bit of $Coin or WIN Cool Prizes will have a lot of traction on Blogs. In effect creating a whole new Web2.0 Social Networking based Economy!

Cheers! ;))

Re: Tagworld Widgets Feed the MySpace Beast

Pete - an opinion question - I was considering creating a myspace widget type thing to let people geotag their myspace pages and share their location via blockrocker - i.e.: "Find Friends in Your Home Town/Neighborhood/???"

However - I'm cautious in terms because of the liability aspect - i.e. : myspace predators, bullies, stalkers etc using the location information to *physically* track people down and cause trouble. Certainly this concern is a concession to media hype surrounding myspace, predators, and kids online, but nonetheless I'm concerned - your off-the-cuff thoughts would be appreciated!
