Paul - while the post appeared on TM tonight, the post was actually made 3 days ago. And in fact, if you check out the post, it's more about how people deal with apologies more than it is with the "incident" - I agree that we are all past it now.
  • Bob J. · 1 year ago
I find it funny how he's calling for an apology, but I haven't seen much an apology from all the bloggers who behaved even more unprofessionally in their trashing of Lacy.

Then again, I gues they don't need to, they're bloggers, not journalists, they don't need to behave professionally...

You make LacyGate last much longer, by writing an F-ING ESSAY ABOUT IT.

    TAKE YOUR OWN ADVICE PAUL.

Yeah, I have to agree with the above.

So how long have they been sleeping together or did that just happen since she started writing the book on him?

Facebook.co.uk is owned by Cameron Howard Winklevoss ,who claims to have had the idea of facebook. Why hasn't facebook taken action against them. You can see for yourself here:

F@#$...you had to ruin to my supper..Now I am going to have stinking nightmares for days just thinking about your statement.

Sorry.. Lacy screwed it big time...unfortunately, she was free to make her choices but not the consequence(s).

Tempted to tell you to go somewhere and do something. You Stop. "Now!"

Your opinion is fine. Express it - your instruction goes unneeded. You're a blogger at Mashable. A Blogger.

Lacy and this post something in common: their top-down mentality.

The only lingering talk is here on this post. The lingering feeling will not be suppressed however. Bad journalism from Big Media from a talented but all-too shy developer is something to 'feel' for and is the very essence of the blogosphere.

In short, dude, get a life.

Um. The issue here is simply Mark Zuckerberg, and he's the only one really gonna have to deal with it. This sort of stuff should not happen to him or a company like Facebook. He needs to be 100% impeccable and in control of every media appearance he makes, whether staged or impromptu. I could care less about Lacy. I guess people have a soft spot for Zuckerberg--maybe trying to hide this 2nd "strike" of his. But to me, this is just showing a trend of a socially incompetent leader...Guess that's why he built an online social network--so he wouldn't have to develop such skills in the real world.

Anyway, ouch! I never like to take such a defamatory tone in articles and comments. I think what Zuckerberg has done and is doing with Facebook is top-notch, despite all the bad things people have to say about Beacon, etc. I think he's determined to keep building a top-notch product, not just make a quick buck and be out--AND I think people see that!

I don't know if it will become THE platform or the adsense-killer, but from making Facebook pages public (yes, yes, I know u could do it before server-side) to beacon, and of course Facebook applications, Zuckerberg is working hard to push the envelope.

So, hey, in the end, this could just be Zuckerberg's personal journey to learning some social skills. He's gonna have to if he wants to play with the big boys. Facebook's MESSAGE needs to be communicated, I repeat, impeccably at every point. Have they even told us their "message" anyway?

Controversy = attention. Anyone who thinks Lacy didn't / doesn't know what she's doing is naive re: media and how it works. As Paul Anka sung to Homer Simspon... "just don't look, just don't look..."
