We got rid of Windows on both of our son's computers and have installed Edubuntu with Glubble. They love their new computers and we have the piece of mind knowing that they are totally safe on their new systems. I tell all my family and friends about both Edubuntu and Glubble!

A similar but different site is http://www.familyden.com. It is also for family, but more for adults like grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins etc. There you can share videos and photos privately with your family relatives. Its pretty much your standard social network, only it is for connecting with your family.
