Great post! Always looking for goodies to add on to my FF! Thanks so much for the extra attention on MOMS:)

Great list! I had only heard of a few of these so thanks for pointing all of these out.

Some of these are nice, but I don't see how they're especially useful for moms. I could see how this would be a list of nice utilities for bloggers, but not really anything I'd actually use as a mom.

Give me something that will quickly find the best price on something I'm reading about, give me the rating of a movie or toy I'm looking at for my kids, or help create a grocery list from a recipe I'm considering making tonight. That'd actually be useful!

I have a few suggestions for you:

Wishpot.com has a button that you can add to your FF toolbar to easily save and browse for products.

You can also use Share-a-holic to mark a recipe you've found online to Delicious and then use tags such as "recipes" to keep the posts organized.

Great list of tools that will help this mom!! Thanks, Jess. :)

Kendra - You can use WishPot.com to help with the features you mentioned (all but the grocery list!).

This is a great list of tools that will help this MOMmy blogger!! Thanks, Jess. :)

Thanks! I've been slowly making the switch to Firefox, and some of these look like they will be useful for me. And I second (or I guess third LOL) the Wishpot button. It's been really useful for Christmas gifts this year!

You forgot KidZui - let's your kids safely surf Firefox without you having to look over their shoulder. Keeps kids entertained for hours (plus they're secretly learning important technology skills...but don't tell them that).

With all due respect this really has nothing to do with moms. These seem to be more helpful for bloggers in general. In any case, thanks for the tips.

Anything to make blogging/tweeting easier is a help to this working mom! Thanks!
  • sorry, I'm not a mom · 1 year ago
well...for blogging I suggest adding things like scribefire, dashblog, ubiquity and perhaps twitterbar. a web clipper like evernote might be usefull as well. For visual updates I suggest using Firefox Universal Uploader to easily upload pictures to flickr, picasa, smugmug or something.

    Fantastic list Jessica!!!

I've been meaning to start using WiseStamp and Zemanta. Thanks for the push.
  • Jimmy · 11 months ago
Zemanta works for me for quick posts in various small blogs I run. But, let's face it, for your main sites nothing beats well-planned, thought-through editorials; the old-style dig-in, research it, work hard type of writing.

Can't believe I missed this post back in December ... but fortunately when browsing your blog I saw the Zemanta links and tried it out. What an awesome tool! You always find the coolest tools so whenever I see you've used something on your blog I try it out.

Very useful indeed. I think you're missing twitterfox from the list! Just my 2 cents, thanks.
