So what's there that Flickr doesn't already have? Yes,t here's the twitter thing... but that can be easily done with the flickr feed.
I don't get some of these startups (and why mashable or techcrunch would even mention them).

Yes, there is unboxing on Flickr, but I personally like the idea of specialized websites (or niche if you will). What you are saying in fact is that when there is a similar product on the market, there's no more room for another one? I think it's just what people prefer to use.
