For a information source to affect the election, it first must be shown that the individuals did not already have a preference for the candidate.  It is likely that many who seek out their pages already are more likely to vote and have an existing preference.  Basically this study shows that people seek out information on things they are already interested in.  It should also be noted that the social networks largest demographic (18-24) has the least representation amongst the sample.
