Anyone think that the new recently integrated web services with user profiles could be handy though (regardless of the Pro vs Free debate)?

- Adam Hirsch, Mashable.com

Re: Trillian for Macs Has Arrived

I've had such problems with Trillian Pro for Windows (user experience and IA holes) that I can't imagine why anyone would want to use Trillian on the Mac when Adium is such a better alternative.

Re: Trillian for Macs Has Arrived

Any sign of Voice/Video integration? From Trillian or from Adium.

Re: Trillian for Macs Has Arrived

I also vote for Adium.

Re: Trillian for Macs Has Arrived

I will add to the parade of negative comments by pointing out that Trillian's refusal to offer Jabber for free is chasing away potential customers who use Gmail/Google Chat.

For serious, Adium, Pidgin, Meebo, and lots of other services wouldn't dream of crippling their product by telling such a huge portion of users to take a hike. When G-chat wasn't around it made sense to offer jabber as a niche/premium feature. But the landscape has changed. Support for Google Chat is standard, now.

Re: Trillian for Macs Has Arrived

Too late, and performance sucks
http://vidsonly.blogspot.com

Re: Trillian for Macs Has Arrived

Too late Trillian, Adium has been out for a long time, is far superior, and is open source.

http://www.adiumx.com/
