I guess Google simply has a better nose for advertising market - otherwise it would not have been the leader.

It maybe that Google have a better intuitive understanding but I refuse to believe that one. I believe that, as is apparent with a lot of Google activity, their processes are probably sharper, there is a dedicated team in place and they execute well.
