Yeah I agree...the user will just have to get over it. Cause ALL the online video sites are going to have to do this in order to carry the heavy load of hosting and streaming video. It's not cheap nor free. If the users don't want ads they can pay Youtube.com.

I think it was a bad move. It's similar to the hate we feel when receiving SMS ads in the phone - somehow, you just think it's too intrusive. Yeah, they have to profit, but they could have been a little more creative. Or less ignorant.

This just goes to show that most people are ignorant.

Yes, it costs money to serve videos.

Yes, Youtube wants more profit, that is what any business is all about.

Now, stop complaining. No one is charging you real money, and if you do not like the ad then just STFU and close it.

All videos will have ads inside eventually.

I'm not surprised that there's vocal opposition to this new form of ads...but I wonder how wide spread the "outrage"?

Will it be enough to stop the new YouTube revenue tactic?

Or will viewers be forced to do as Jim Carrey's character did (in "Liar Liar"), when he was picking up his car from the impound lot and discovered it was scratched...). Sorry for the vague allusion, but that's what it made me think of :-0
