Took your Blog Down. Where is your new search engine? Great idea, to bad you know nothing about building one and had to hire a development company and try and get investors. Why not leave it up to Google.

Re: Business 3.0 Facebook App Doesn’t Live Up to its Name

Have you heard of www.surfitlocal.com? If the answer is no then you should check them out, I think what you guys are talking about is part of what we are already doing. We are getting ready to launch our platform in -60 days and are looking for business owners who would like to beta test our platform for free.

Re: Business 3.0 Facebook App Doesn’t Live Up to its Name

A lot of spam'ish type of companies in there. The application is a good start but need a lot of work. I don't think it will appeal to facebook crowd. Good effort though.

Re: Business 3.0 Facebook App Doesn’t Live Up to its Name

I'd also like to add that there are significant differences between personal profiles and business profiles.

Motivation
Functionality
Features
Purpose
Design
Integration

While the corss over between personal and business profle can sometimes be thin the purposes are totally different.

I write about this at http://jayderagon.com/blog/...

Re: Business 3.0 Facebook App Doesn’t Live Up to its Name

Trying to copy the littleengine.com model? It launched in Beta and in less than four days over 1,200 people downloaded the app, 439 have used it to set up their business profile already. It currently contains over 60 products listed. The ap does enable users to rate the business and/or the product /service offered.

The application also integrates with the users personal profile thus increasing business exposure ad distribution points for products and services.

The application provides a full directory of business and products offered. In the near future it will enable "individuals to "connect" with the business and businesses to connect with each other.

The application does indeed have a search tool.

For a new app in beta I'd say it has performed very well. One user reports:

"Wow! What a great application. It is well thought out and truly provides significant value. Since listing my company with your application the traffic to my web site has increased daily. To date we have had 25% more traffic than we had anticipated. The best part is that the traffic is relevant...our registration conversions to real leads have increased 15%.'

What say you?
