Sometimes you can get through and sometimes you are blocked. Changing locations sometimes makes a difference too.

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

It's http://worldflirting.com

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

Which community is that?

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

The popular dating and community site are also blocked in Dubai United Arab Emirates. The Hotel SEO Executives is a group that tallies only 20 members to date. It is a network of hoteliers and SEO executives worldwide that collaboratively exchange ideas and information pertaining to search engine optimization in the hotel industry. Hardly a threatening group! Definitely not an organization that would harm “the religious, cultural, political and moral values of the United Arab Emirates!” But yet a Hyatt Dubai hotel executive was blocked by Etisalat from registering on just that site.

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

could you help me with something

Where can I watch bla bla?
couldn't find it on the net

Cheers Deh Gha Ni

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

Where can I watch bla bla?
couldn't find it on the net

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

Did you try using a proxy?

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

It's just your own idea to call my country (Iran) a repressive regime! Flickr is blocked there too and VoIP is not allowed in that country so I wasn't able to use Skype.

The online community is changing fast there but we can't expect it to happen overnight. As the technology in that country evolves, so will the legislation and telecom provisions.

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

I'm living in United Arab Emirates, and I can access facebook flawlessly, they did block it a few months ago for a few days but they reverted under users' insistence.

Re: United Arab Emirates Block Facebook

Isn't it ironic that the UAE should pride itself on being a pioneer for development in the Middle East, yet once again it has stifled people's freedom to enjoy closing the gap between friends and loved ones far away.
