We updated a month or so ago, by the way. You can now hide your true weight, and there's a host of other new features. The graph looks different now, too.

That's the kind of things I'd rather not display in public, but I'd use the same thing as a gadget on my private Live.com personalized homepage.

Hey guys,

We made this for people to track their weight. That doesn't mean they have to post it on myspace, that was just an easy feature to add. In addition, the ability to post it on your blog or myspace also makes it public so people know if you're losing weight or not, which could serve as positive reinforcement.

I suppose I could add an "obscurity request" feature, where I would just use relevant points and not an actual number.

At any rate, lighten up. It's a fun site with a fun purpose, and I have no morals. :)

James - right on!!! As I commented on "the daily plate", this stuff is no good - the developers here either checked their brains or their morals in at the door before they hacked up this rubbish. Again, I hope that goog buys 'em and shuts 'em down in the spirit of doing no evil.

With the popularity of and worry about pro-ana websites (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wik..., and the particular attraction of MySpace and other social networks to vulnerable young women, doesn't anyone else see this as pretty tasteless and really quite irresponsible?

This is not a censorship debate, by the way, and I realise it started as an 'irreverent' joke by a couple of guys, and it's great, but... I just hate how many women are screwed up by ludicrous body image issues and... oh, it's a whole 'nother conversation.
