Yawn. Enough of the subdomain with .us domain names please.

...and you forgot to mention the MOST attractive thing about this: anybody who is interested can use the open source elgg.org platform to build his/her own social networking site (as niche as you'd like) and use the explode plugin to connect directly to the larger network...like ning on steroids, and with total admin control over features...

the folks behind explode are the same folks behind the amazing elgg.org code base...they've worked really hard on this thing, and it's nice to see how it is evolving...

I'm confused, I can't find myself on explode, and I have to be one of the easiest people to find on the internets. Does this mean that explode sucks, or does this mean that I suck?

Concur with Brian. Let's start a groundswell to make the .tv investment in many a snazzy At Tech booth finally pay off and ... think of words ... that end ... in TV.

Personally I think .ms is the way to go. Mooche.ms. Sucke.ms. Retardu.ms. Etc. etc.

Explode.ms actually makes more sense than Explode.us, which sounds like a problem best solved by mainlining Gas X.

Yup, I searched for my name (which is on a bunch of social networks they claim to search) and it came up with 0 hits. I also searched for a fairly well known author who has several MySpace sites at the least, and got 0 hits.

Do they expect people to make an account on their site in order to be in the search index?

If you're interested in promoting an upcoming art exhibition, Playster - http://www.playster.org - provides a very simple service for adding events directly to our search index. You'll be able to reach a new audience in your city as well as drive traffic to your site or blog.

    Enjoy!
