If you don't have an option called "Mobile Settings" under "Service Settings" on the control panel, you need to set your control panel to "Next Generation".

Re: Finally: Google Sync Comes to iPhone and Windows Mobile

This looks great! I already have MobileMe because I got sick of not having the syncing features I wanted from Google. I eventually want my calendar, contacts and everything to be in the cloud through Google but until they make it as easy, reliable, and "baked in" as MobileMe I'll stick with Apples solution.

I would like to know how using MobileMe and GoogleSync both in conjunction would work out... Sounds like a recipe for data loss or duplication. :)

@andy peters - Thanks! Looking forward to trying this with Google Apps for my domain!

Re: Finally: Google Sync Comes to iPhone and Windows Mobile

I did a quick write up for getting Google Sync working with Google Apps for your Domain; calendar and contacts. So now I can't use it for my personal calendar with Google because I only get one exchange????? This does NOT help me...GOOGLE-can you fix this? Apple can you fix this????? You are STILL missing a market!

Re: Finally: Google Sync Comes to iPhone and Windows Mobile

So does this mean there is true push for Gmail also?

At last touch, Gmail offered only fetch or IMAP, which was close to push but wouldn't download anything from the server.

Any clarification is greatly appreciated!

Re: Finally: Google Sync Comes to iPhone and Windows Mobile

It's great to see people playing nice.
