Pre-fetching? That kind of feature is just what Gmail needed. Does that sound pointless to you? No, I didn't think so.
Gmail is already the best thing since the wheel. I heard the guy who invented Gmail is getting a Nobel, just for changing the lives of countless people with a better email service. I think it was Al Gore. He works at Google you know.
I really do feel much safer knowing the GoogleBot reads my email. It's like having your Mom look through your Internet History. It's just comforting to know the Big G is looking out for us.
"I don't understand how Gmail works, and it seems Google is unlikely to redesign their system so that it works just like every other mail client on the Web. Unless their improvements resemble a Zimbra or Outlook-style makeover, I am not remotely interested."
Has anyone else seen this? Does it work for anyone else? A hint of the (sorely needed) new Google contact manager? [If you ask me they should just buy plaxo]
It was only a few months ago that realized how I take those amazing features for granted.
Now I just wish they would turn on MY IMAP already, since EVERYONE ELSE seems to have it...especially people who have no use for it.
